Write a persuasive piece: should students be allowed to bring their pets to school one day a year?
I have a dog called Max. He is a golden retriever and he is three years old. He loves chasing balls and sleeping on my bed.
Students should be allowed to bring their pets to school one day a year. My dog, Max, shows why: he is calm, friendly and an expert at making people smile. A pet day would teach responsibility and give everyone something to look forward to.
"before"文笔不错,却回答了另一个问题:"Tell me about your pet."题目要求的是论证。"after"保留了这只狗,但在第一句就亮明立场,把它当作支撑观点的证据。文章写得再好,答非所问就没有完成任务。

It was the last day of the holidays. I went to the beach with my family. We swam and had fish and chips. Then we went home and I went to bed.
On the last day of the holidays, I did everything slowly on purpose. I ate my toast one bite at a time. I swam out to the yellow buoy and floated there, counting clouds, as if the day might stretch if I didn't move. Tomorrow was a new school, and I wasn't ready.

The best place I have been is the national park near my uncle's farm. It has a waterfall, tall trees and lots of birds. We had a picnic there and it was really fun.
The waterfall at the end of the Lookout Track is a two-hour climb, most of it straight up. Halfway, my water bottle was empty and I asked Dad three times if we could turn back. Then we heard it before we saw it: a roar through the trees. Every step had been worth it.
