These terms apply when you use selectiveready.com. Please read them with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.
1. Who we are
SelectiveReady is run by Varun Prasad Gopisetti, a sole trader in New South Wales (ABN 53 930 169 401). Contact us at support@selectiveready.com.
2. Who can have an account
Accounts are for parents and guardians aged 18 or over. You are responsible for your account. Your child uses SelectiveReady under your supervision and should not create their own account.
3. What SelectiveReady is
SelectiveReady is an online practice resource for six Australian entry tests:
- the NSW Selective High School Placement Test;
- the NSW Opportunity Class Placement Test;
- the Victorian Selective Entry High Schools exam;
- the WA Gifted and Talented Academic Selective Entrance Test (ASET);
- the ACER Scholarship Tests (Level 1);
- the Edutest Scholarship Tests.
For the exam you choose, it includes timed practice tests in that exam's sections, results and progress by topic, lessons (with video lessons where we have them for that exam), and automated (AI) feedback on writing where the exam has a writing task.
- One exam per plan. Free and paid access (section 4) apply to the one exam chosen for your child. A paid plan for one exam does not include our other exams. If you chose the wrong exam, contact us and we can move your plan to the right one.
- We are independent. We are not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the NSW, Victorian or WA Departments of Education, ACER or Edutest.
- We don't promise any score, placement, offer or scholarship.
- AI writing feedback is generated automatically. It can be wrong or incomplete, and it is not a mark from any exam body.
4. Free and paid access
Free. Anyone with an account can take one full practice test for their chosen exam and see its results. We may change which test is free.
One exam per purchase. Each plan below is for one exam: the exam chosen for your child when you buy. What Core and Complete include for each exam is listed on our Pricing page before you pay.
Core — 12 months, paid once, for one exam. A$109 (A$89 for Edutest Year 11). Core includes the practice tests and units we list as Core for that exam, with their results and feedback, and its lessons. One payment gives access for 12 months from the date you pay. It does not renew and we will not charge you again.
Complete — 12 months, paid once, for one exam. A$179 (A$219 for NSW Selective; A$129 for Edutest Year 11). Complete includes everything in Core, plus the practice tests and units we list as Complete for that exam. One payment gives full access for 12 months from the date you pay. It does not renew and we will not charge you again.
Weekly — A$9 per week, for one exam. Weekly gives Complete access to that exam. You pay A$9 when you subscribe, then A$9 every 7 days until you cancel. It renews automatically.
If you already pay. If you bought the 12-Month Pack or subscribed to Weekly before 3 November 2026, you keep the price you paid, and you have Complete access to your exam for the rest of your term.
Prices are in Australian dollars. No GST is charged because SelectiveReady is not registered for GST. Stripe processes payments; we never see your full card number.
5. Cancelling Weekly
You can cancel any time online in Settings → Manage plan. Once you cancel, you won't be charged again and you keep full access until the end of the week you have paid for. After that, your account returns to free access and your child's results stay.
If a weekly payment fails, Stripe will email you and retry for up to two weeks. You keep access while it retries. If payment still fails, the plan ends.
If you dispute a payment with your bank, access paid for by that payment is paused until the dispute is resolved.
6. Refunds and your consumer rights
Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits those rights.
7. Price and service changes
If we change the Weekly price, we will email you at least 14 days before the new price applies, so you can cancel first. The price you paid for Core or Complete covers your whole 12 months.
We won't remove a major part of the paid service (full tests, results, lessons or writing feedback) during a period you have paid for, and we won't move practice from Core to Complete during a Core period you have paid for. If we have to, we will refund the unused part of that period.
8. Acceptable use
Please:
- use SelectiveReady for your own family's practice;
- keep your sign-in private and don't share access outside your household;
- don't copy, share, sell or publish our questions, answers, lessons or videos;
- don't get around access limits, overload or scrape the site;
- don't send anything unlawful or abusive, or other people's personal information.
If an account seriously or repeatedly breaks these rules, we may suspend or close it. We will tell you why and, unless it's urgent, let you respond first. If we close an account for any other reason, we will refund the unused part of any paid period.
9. Content and your work
We own, or are licensed to use, the questions, lessons, videos and other content on SelectiveReady. You may use them only for your child's practice while you have access.
Your child's writing responses remain yours. You let us store and process them to provide results and feedback, including sending them to our AI feedback provider.
10. Availability
We work to keep SelectiveReady running, but there may be short interruptions for maintenance or problems outside our control. If a problem stops you using the paid service, contact us (see our Refund Policy).
11. Deleting your account
You can delete your account any time in Settings → Delete account. This cancels any Weekly plan and deletes your account and your child's practice data, as described in our Privacy Policy. It can't be undone. Deleting doesn't by itself give a refund, but your Refund Policy and Australian Consumer Law rights still apply.
12. Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for providing the service with due care and skill, as the Australian Consumer Law requires. We are not responsible for loss that we did not cause, or that was not reasonably foreseeable. We are not responsible for exam or placement outcomes. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.
13. Changes to these terms
If we make a change that matters to you, we will email you at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you don't agree, you can cancel before then. Core and Complete holders who don't agree can ask for a refund of the unused part of their 12 months. Minor changes, like fixing typos, may be made without notice.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. If something goes wrong, please contact us first at support@selectiveready.com. You can also contact NSW Fair Trading.
