Yanco Agricultural High School: how entry works

Yanco runs its own Year 7 entry. Applications go straight to the school, and no entry exam is needed^{2Yanco Agricultural High School · 13 October 2026 · Published}. ^{1NSW Education · 13 October 2026 · Published}

That makes Yanco unlike most selective schools, where the Department's test decides places. Entry is through an application and interview process led by the school executive^{2Yanco Agricultural High School · 13 October 2026 · Published}. The Department agrees that boarding places at Yanco don't need the test.
